Why Amava?
Consistent massage offers proven benefits not only for the well-being of our muscular structures, but also for regulating our nervous system. A balanced nervous system helps us navigate life with greater ease and stay closer to the present moment. While Amava Massage is not a traditional spa environment, my hope is that you leave your session feeling just as rejuvenated as you would after a day (or week) on vacation. Ready and able to take on life in all of its mental, physical, and emotional demands.
Massage can support pain relief while also helping the systems of your body communicate and function in greater harmony. Whether you choose a monthly membership at Amava Massage or prefer to schedule sessions as they fit into your life, I am here to customize and tailor your treatments to meet your needs. It is an honor to serve the Taos community and to offer massage with a holistic, grounded approach.
Upon booking your session, you will be prompted to fill out an intake form. If you have seen me before, you are welcome to keep this brief. If this is your first time in, please share your intentions, where you may be experiencing pain or tension, and whether you prefer a myofascial/deep tissue session or a more relaxing experience. If you’re unsure of your bodywork preference, that’s completely okay—we can discuss it together when you arrive.

I consider myself both an intuitive and integrative bodywork practitioner who uses the wisdom of my hands to listen to the layers of your bodies needs. By blending a handful of modalities together my aim is to answer ~ helping return your nervous system back to center and relieve both pain and inflammation from areas of tension tightness or injury. I have been a licensed massaged therapist since 2016 and received my training from Sacred Roots Massage in Missoula, Montana where I studied both Eastern and Western approaches to bodywork (including reiki, herbalism and Chinese fire cupping). I am currently working towards my graduate degree in clinical counseling at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM focusing on somatic and eco-based therapies. I believe that our attitude towards life starts with the peace and safety we feel in our bodies. The more we can build our capacity and relationship to it, the more access we have to creating vital abundant lives. I look forward to working with you!
